Fall Fashion Trends

Fall is here and you've had to kiss your beloved bikinis and denim shorts goodbye. But with the conclusion of every season, comes the opportunity (or excuse) to shop for another. Keep these trends in mind while you start to eye new pieces for your fall wardrobe.

The Professional: One of the overall themes we've seen in the fall fashion shows is that casual garb should be temporarily retired come September and it's perfectly acceptable (even commendable) to dress up again. This was evident by the amount of professional looks, menswear-inspired pieces, tailored coats, and the increase of darker, demure grays and navy blues that we've seen on the runways. However, professionals and creative spirits can embrace this trend. If for no other reason, than simply as a reminder us that hemlines can actually go somewhere other than up. This fall, fashionistas with an appreciation for the conservative can easily supplement their wardrobe with Antonio Berardi blazer-dresses, Balmain pinstripe suits, and Stella McCartney pleated slacks. Showing up to the office has never been this glamorous.

Sheer Chic: Both London and Paris fashion weeks proudly proclaimed that sheer is here. Designers like Julien MacDonald showed dresses with see-through lace details, while models wore barely-there sheer blouses for Givenchy and Giambattista Valli. It goes without saying that sheer isn't exactly for the shy, but with some clever layering, anyone can wear this trend. Remember that cardigans, vests, and jackets can help you cover up a sheer shirt. Also, for those of us itching to wear fall pieces now, sheer clothing is a great way to transition summer-wear into what you'll be wearing this fall. If the sheer strikes you with fear, stick with dresses or blouses embellished with lace.

Ferocious Furs: If you live in an environment where the weather permits, incorporate fur into your wardrobe this fall. mink pink bikini Real or faux, we saw tons of this trend trotting down the runways for fall fashion shows. Whether it's a knee-length chocolate coat, as showcased at Bottega Veneta, or a vest by Derek Lam, fur is back with a vengeance, much to the dismay of PETA. If you're not bold enough to wear a full length fur coat, you can ease it into your wardrobe with boots, bags and accessories with fur trim and details.

Rising Necklines: Does your cleavage need a break Considering the amount of time you've spent in a swimsuit, v-neck tee or halter top, the answer is probably a resounding, "Yes." Luckily, necklines are getting higher and higher for fall. And yes, we even saw turtlenecks at New York Fashion Week. Although the last time you wore a turtleneck, it was probably part of a school uniform. Fear not! Higher necklines actually frame your face and give you an opportunity to show off those fantastic earrings you picked up at the Barney's Warehouse Sale.

Colourful Fashion Industry Spreads Its Wings Globally

mink pink velvet dress With the end of the 20th century came the end of all hype which has created a more practical and pragmatic environment and has given a more stable picture of the fashion business. In the 50s, 60s and 70s, the Indian fashion scenario wasn't exactly colorless.

It was exciting, stylish and very graceful. There were no designers, models, star or fashion design labels that the country could show off. The value of a garment was judged by its style and fabric and not by who made it.

It was regarded as ever so chic and fashionable to approach any unfamiliar tailor, who could make a garment for a few rupees, providing the perfect fit, finish and style. The high society lady, who wore it, was proud for getting a good bargain and for giving her name to the end result.

In 60s, tight 'kurtas', 'churidars' and high coiffures were a trend among ladies. It was an era full of naughtiness and celebration in arts and music and cinema, manifested by liberation from restriction and acceptance of new types of materials such as plastic film and coated polyester fabric.

For doll collectors who have a liking for fashion, collecting fashion dolls seem like a logical option as a hobby. And there are so many different types of fashion dolls out there in the market that it's easy to get confused. There are large toddler-sized fashion dolls, there are teddy bear sized fashion dolls and...let's not forget those tiny little miniature fashion dolls that you can place over dressing tables, closets or on the bedside table itself!
Although fashion doll collecting is deemed to be a favorite hobby or interest that people of the fairer sex likes to indulge in, some men actually like collecting fashion dolls too! So, doll collecting is not a hobby exclusive to girls...men can and some do collect fashion dolls.

Contemporary fashion dolls, vintage or modern fashion dolls Your choice
Fashion dolls have very contemporary designs today with a fusion of modern fashion clothes mixed and infused with traditional and conventional elements. Fashion dolls like Robert Tonner dolls are truly made for the hard core doll collector. Their dolls have a whole range of modern fashion dolls, vintage fashion dolls and also fashion dolls based on characters. Fashion dolls with characters, names and a personality profiles written out are often a hit with doll collectors. Barbie dolls sell like crazy - not only a hit with youngsters, but a hit with adults as well. In fact, the Barbie doll is, without a doubt, the leader in fashion dolls. Barbie dolls have been selling like hot cakes for ages and we don't think it will stop anytime soon, either. As long as clothes designers keep coming up with new clothes and fashionable accessories for their Barbie fashion dolls, people will keep on buying.

Your closet can give the answer mink pink wholesale. If you don't want to look at it, well. well. this resembles that you are matching your steps with the latest fashion trends. What it's relation to fashion People stick rigidly to the rules - okay, maybe not 'YOU'. You may be one of those who walk their own way and dress as they like. When it comes to the fashion industry, it's a continuously changing world. Even though some trends are considered as ludicrous and outdated, many other comebacks with innovative ideas.

GROUND BEEF, CORN, NOODLE CASSEROLE
Gotta love these old fashion recipe instructions! Personally, I like the noodles par boiled before putting them in the casserole.

1 package (small) uncooked noodles
1 grated onion, browned
1 pound hamburger, browned
1 can tomato soup
1 can cream style corn
Cheddar cheese, to taste, grated
1 can ripe olives, sliced

SPAM AND MACARONI CASSEROLE
1 package (7-oz) uncooked elbow macaroni
1 can cream of celery soup, undiluted
1 cup milk
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 can (12-oz) Spam or other canned luncheon meat, cubed
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper mink pink high waisted shorts.

Prepare the macaroni according to package directions; drain well. Combine the cream of celery soup, milk, and cheese in a saucepan. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted. Add the drained macaroni, bell pepper, and cubed meat to the mixture. Stir well to combine. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish or baking pan that has been buttered. Bakes at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

MIXED DISH CASSEROLE
Now how is that for a name During and coming off the great depression, many cooks had learned to just use up what they had on hand and when asked to share their recipe, they didn't know what to call it. So they just came up with whatever they could think of, thus some of these creative or not so creative names!

1 lb of hamburger meat or sausage or a combination of both
1/4 of an onion, chopped
1/2 pkg (about 4-oz) noodles, cooked
1 can creamed corn
1 can chicken rice soup
crushed cracker crumbs

Brown the meat and onion. Combine the browned meat with the other ingredients but not the cracker crumbs. Place in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with the cracker crumbs and bake for an hour at 325 degrees.
